Pébéo Vitrea 160 hot enamels are suitable for glass, porcelain, metal and any other surface that can withstand a temperature of 160°C. The colors of the Vitrea 160 series are water-based, transparent, and the range includes plain shades with a glossy finish, metallic (shimmer) and with an ice effect (frosted). All colors are fully mixed with each other and can be applied with a brush, sponge, stencil but also with an airbrush after being slightly diluted. The quality of Vitrea 160 is such that it makes painting on glass realistic, like real stained glass. They also have such good adhesion after baking that they beautifully highlight your creations to decorate objects or unique jewelry.
The colors are non-toxic, without fumes and the common household oven is sufficient. After painting, let the paints dry for 24 hours, then place the objects in a cold domestic oven and when the temperature reaches 160°C bake for 40 minutes. After baking, let the object cool gradually in the oven to avoid thermal shock. In this way, the enamels solidify and become resistant to washing even in a dishwasher, microwave oven and common cleaning agents.
All objects decorated with Vitrea 160 enamels must be intended exclusively for decorative use and must not come into contact with food. There is no problem with drinking from a glass decorated with Vitrea 160 enamels if the painting with these enamels stops approximately 1.5 cm. before the rim of the glass. If, however, the decorated areas accidentally come into contact with food, they do not pose a health risk according to tests conducted in accredited food laboratories.
