Marbling Bath Pebeo
A special medium for the marbling technique that helps the water to be thicker during the transfer of colors.
The marbling technique is inspired by the ancient Japanese marbling technique on rice paper in the 11th century (Sumi nagashi) and by similar bookbinding techniques in Europe in the 19th century. It is the process of transferring colors with the surface of the object to be decorated. Marbling can be used on surfaces such as fabrics, paper, cardboard, recycled paper, wood, plaster, etc. On fabric, iron the fabric after dyeing to stabilize the colors.
The basin with the marbling thickening medium can be used many times for continuous projects. However, it is recommended to use a small amount of thickener and change the water frequently

Instructions for Preparing the Basin and Marbling Technique
The basin with the thickener and water must be prepared in advance
Pour 2 teaspoons (7g) of Pebeo Marbling Thickener into 1 liter of cold water
Mix very well and leave the mixture for 2 hours
Pour 1 to 2 centimeters of the mixture into a plastic basin or tray that is larger than the object you want to decorate
Using the dispenser, pour a few drops of the colors of your choice into the basin with water. Ideally, use alternating light and dark colors
Let the colors diffuse slightly before using a stick or straw to create your designs.
You can create various designs with the wood such as stripes, combed patterns, etc.
After completing your desired designs, very carefully apply the object, paper or fabric to the surface of the mixture
Leave it there for 10 to 15 seconds and remove it
Rinse quickly with water to remove any excess gel and color mixture that may be present
Place the decorated object on a flat surface and let it dry
